They broke ground the year the US Civil War ended.  The main part of the house was finished the next year - 1866.  This house has seen a lot, but it's really only seen two main families under its roof.  Now we're giving it new life, and like us, the future of The Finch-Lee House is still a work in progress.  We're getting close, though.  We're thrilled to be able to share the Pavilion and the grounds while we work to share the entire property.  

 

In April of 2026, we added one of the coolest and most unique natural playgrounds within 100 miles, and we became a place where both kids and adults can hang out and have a blast.  We followed that up shortly after with a smoothie / milkshake / frappe joint called Souther Chill.  The kids get the playground, the adults get to sit back and chill with beer or glass of wine, and they both get a cool treat on a hot day.  We have other new stuff in store over the coming months (all referenced above,) so stay tuned while we work out the "new business" kinks.  We can't wait to see you at The Finch-Lee House this Fall..
