The "New Vendor Email" Info
If you're receiving this email, you probably just requested to attend a Sunday Vendor Market at the Finch-Lee House. This email will give you ALL the information you need to get started. Go grab a beverage. It's long. But please read it in its entirety. Most (hopefully ALL) of your questions will be answered here.
How to add yourself to a spreadsheet
- When you ask to become a vendor, we will share a spreadsheet with you. You will be able to edit that spreadsheet. But please don't. Not yet. Spend 15 minutes just navigating it. Notice the tabs at the bottom and how they are arranged by dates. Look at how vendors who have signed up have put information in 5 different columns.
YOU will have 5 columns when you sign up, too.
HERE is our current spreadsheet for Fall 2025.
Now, after you have navigated the spreadsheet and you have a good idea of how it all works, you are free to add your information into an open row for a date you would like to attend. For instance, if you want to attend the October 19th market, you'll simply add the five pieces of information associated with you into an open row on the October 19th tab. You are now registered to attend the market on that date. Simple, right?
If that is NOT simple, please do not mess up our spreadsheets. Ask us to help. Ask a vendor friend to help you. Go watch YouTube videos on how to navigate and edit Google spreadsheets. All you need to do on these spreadsheets is type your info and then copy and paste it onto other dates if you'd like to attend multiple markets. No other formatting is necessary or allowed. Don't bold anything, don't change the fonts, etc.
If there are not 5 pieces of information about you, please add it!! Your row should include your business name, name, phone number, email address, and a brief description of your business.
Cost of vendor spaces
- The cost of a regular vendor space or food truck is $20 for 2025. If you need access to electricity, it is an additional $5. By Tuesday of a week where you are signed up to attend that Sunday's Vendor Market (in other words, 5-7 days before the market,) you will receive an email requesting that you go to THIS webpage, find the icon at the top of the page with which type of vendor space you want (regular or with electricity,) click that icon, and follow the directions to pay your vendor fee for that week. Please pay that by Thursday at midnight, and please pay for ONLY that week, even if you have signed up for multiple markets. Because weather can be a factor with outdoor events, we want people to pay for only one market at a time, and do so between Tuesday and Thursday of the week of the market.
Finally, if you are signed up for a market and do not pay by Thursday at midnight, you will receive a reminder email on Friday. I would rather not send that reminder email. And please do not no-show for an event you have signed up for. If you do that twice, you will not be allowed to sign up for any future markets.
Unloading times and locations
ALL of our vendor markets are on select Sundays from 1:00 to 5:00. Vendor space numbers are in place by 10:30 on the morning of a market. You are free to come anytime after 10:30, and we'll let you drive up as close as possible to your spot. If you are inside the fence, you should definitely go to the McLemore Rd entrance. You can get as close to the fence as possible (but do NOT drive inside the fence,) and please move your vehicle as soon as possible after unloading. If you are in spaces 11-30, you have a choice. You can go in the McLemore Rd entrance OR the Cleveland Rd. entrance. For 31-50, the Cleveland Rd entrance is best. You can pretty much drive anywhere in the yard as long as there hasn't been a deluge of rain the night before. There is a map of where spaces are generally located attached to this email. Some spaces can change from week to week, but this map gives you a good general idea of where you would be located based on the space you select on the spreadsheet.
Where to park your vehicle when you're done unloading
- DO NOT leave your vehicle at either the Cleveland Rd entrance or McLemore Rd entrance. Vendor vehicles are required to be taken to the "football lot" behind the pine trees after unloading. We want customers to be able to use the entire front yard and every available space at the McLemore Rd entrance. Every week, we have vendors ignore this rule. We are going to start having to get a little tough with this rule. After unloading, please move your vehicle to the large open lot right beside the Finch-Lee House lot. If you don't know where that is, please ask somebody while you're unloading.
Info about tents and setup
- Tents are not required. However, you will probably want one. Tents are great on sunny days. They're still great on windy days, but they also blow away on windy days. You need tent weights. That's really all there is to say about tents. If you need to buy one, get a 10 x 10 popup canopy tent.
Cancellation policy
- We are reasonable people. We also have a LOT going on with these markets. If you need to cancel, please do so. If you need to cancel at the last minute, just don't make a habit of it. We basically consider a market "locked in" on the Monday prior to the Sunday Market 6 days later.
If you decide you can't come one week, yet you never actually cancel and just don't show up, that's one of those two strikes and you're done kind of deals. We have to think about 40+ vendors every week. You only have to think about your spot. Just do us the courtesy of cancelling as early as possible if you need to cancel. And don't ghost us Sunday afternoon.
Weather policy
- If it looks like an off-and-on drizzly type of rain, we probably won't cancel. If it looks like 25 mph winds and level 2 change for severe weather or an all day washout, we'll probably cancel. In the event that we have to cancel, we will NOT do refunds. We will simply credit your next market attendance so that you won't pay a vendor fee the next time you attend.
Refund policy
- For cancellations less than 48 hours before an event, no refunds will be issued and no credits towards future markets will be offered. For cancellations more than 48 hours prior to a market, we will not do a refund, but we will credit your next market so that you don't have to pay a vendor fee at the next market you attend.
And obviously, if you cancel prior to paying your vendor fee, there is no refund because you will not have paid anything yet.
If you have any questions, please email us at finchleevendors@gmail.com. Thanks for wanting to be a part of our Sunday Vendor Markets. As a LOT of vendors have said, the atmosphere at our markets is absolutely incredible. We have no doubt you'll agree. See you soon.
